Imagine doing something you have never done before, a hard thought out process. All you want is to see the final product but you don’t want to do what it takes to get there. Everyday you probably think about wanting to give it up, throw it all away, and it’s just not worth it. Well, this is one time I felt like this. First, maybe you would like to know what I am talking about. Well, I am talking about this. Yes, this, writing a short story.

this is my first paragraph
definetly going to be changing it quite a bit before I turn it in, but its a start!

How 'bout writing a short story about writing a short story? LOL Just kidding. Seriously, though, people should come up with their own ideas. It's getting kind of ridiculous seeing people asking for ideas and "What should I write about?" Write about what you want, not what others tell you to. If you can't think of something, try going places or reading other things to get an idea.

Well being near Halloween how about a good old scary story? There is a website that lists actual haunted sites in all 50 states. I was shocked when I read it to find my old college dorm listed. Read the list for your area and find a real haunting. Write about it, then tell your class all about how it is really true. You may be able to visit. I have visited a number of the places on the NY page.
