Sport coats:
a] button on 'men's' side - while wearing it: left side [ button holes ] go over right side [ buttons ]. Women's are opposite.
b] have a shoulder [ ex: 40 ] and arm length [ ex. R for regular ] on label. Women's have an even 'dress' size [ 10, 12, etc. ] or a single letter [ XS, S, M, L, XL ] and no length.
c] men's jackets do not have darts or princess seams.
Pants:
a] again, button, snap, or zip left over right, while you are in them.
b] have a waist measurement [ 32, 34, 36, etc. ] and inseam measurement [ 34, 36, 38 ]. Women's have a 'dress' size
[ 6, 8, 10, 12, ] and sometimes a length [ P, R, L ].
If you can't tell, probably no one else can, either.
