what would be the best temperature to keep home warm but also save energy during night. ( in F).and do u make ur toddler wearing shoes in the winter at home?

If you're talking energy efficiency and maintaining a decent power bill, I would recommend 73-76 in the summer and 68-70 in the winter. However it does depend on where you are located. As far as toddlers wearing shoes in the winter, that would depend on the floor surface of your home. If you have carpet, it shouldn't be a problem. Hardwood and tile floors can be cool in the winter time but I suppose that depends on how good your HVAC works. Personally, I would recommend socks at the least.

My thermostat is set at 68 degrees, and if I get chilled, I will put on a sweater. I wear slippers around the house to help keep my feet warm. You get used to that temperature and you are comfortable. At night you can always put on an extra cover if it is to cool. Breathing cool air, makes it easier to sleep.
