Ugh God been there done that. Same situation. You need to surround yourself by happy people that make you feel optimistic and positive in the right ways - ways that feel right to you.

You probably cant completely block her from your life, but if she is that pessimistic, you may benefit from just seeing her when you can (for lack of a better phrase) stand to put up with her negativity. It can be possible to find some sort of balance.

Good luck!

If this friendship is taking a toll on you, by all means block her or just start distancing yourself away from her, you dont need all that negativity coming from your friend. You need to surround yourself more with positive and good influencial people. Friends are there to support each other not to bring yourself down and helps YOU to be a BETTER person. :) Good luck!

Definitley BLOCK that b*tch out! Usually females try to put each other down to make themselves look good. It doesn't sound like she's ur best friend if she put you down.

Surround yourself with people who are positive and supportive. Be totally honest with yourself and cut loose those that hold you back from your goals.

If she's pessimistic and negative, she may be depressed. Can you get her to take one of the on-line depression quizzes?

distance. dont let her negativity ruin your life, you have your own. and if she acts like a jerk about it, then she's not your friend.
