Try Dishwasher Magic. You'll find it in with the dishwasher - or with drano-type products at the grocery store. Look it up on-line so you know what the packaging looks like as it is easy to pass over on the shelf. I needed to use 2 to clear it completely. Haven't had a problem since!

Dissassemble it, piece by piece, and soak any caked pieces in vinegar until the minerals are gone. Run a plumber's snake through the clean out / trap.

make sure it is not stop up at the bottom were the water drains .re move any trash and food that might be plugging it up .

They usually have filters - it might need cleaning.
