The New York Yankees hold the postseason record, 12 games, done twice:

1. Sweeps of the 1926, 1927, and 1932 World Series.

2. 12 games from 1998-99:
1998 ALCS, Games 3-5
1998 WS, four-game sweep
1999 ALDS, three-game sweep
1999 ALCS, Games 1-2.

The 2005 White Sox have won eight in a row -- Games 2-5 of the ALCS and a sweep of the World Series, so that streak is intact and available to be extended. Someday, maybe.

The 2005 White Sox and the 2004 Red Sox share the single postseason streak record, with eight.

If the Rockies win the first two of the World Series, they'll have the record for most consecutive postseason games won.
