I didn't but I think as my own little boycott I am going to start blocking the people who give thumbs downs to those who answer their question with an opinion that differs from the askers own. If you ask a ? then expect that not everyone is going to agree with you. Do you really feel it is fair to thumbs down people because they don't think as you do?

I almost have to agree with you on that. I think that a thumbs down is RUDE. It is certainly unwarranted in many of the situations I have seen. The problem is this. How do you know that the thumbs down came from within that circle of people who answered. Sometimes I fore-go that answer because someone has said it better than I could and I just give him a thumbs up and walk away.

Well, that could be almost any one that did a thumbs down. It doesn't give a persons name , as to who gave a thumbs up or down. So how would you know??
I look at it this way, I don't say anything that I need to hide, and I really have no paranoia about people checking up on my answers or questions. It is no skin off my nose. and contacts are some time chosen by their answers or questions.

I only have spammers blocked...so far anyway. I don't think it's fair to thumbs down someone just b/c they share a different opinion. I feel we should only give someone a thumbs down if we know for a FACT that person is giving false info to someone. I'm sure I will get a thumbs down for this one....lol...oh well. :)

its not fair to block some on just because they do not agree with the asker's opinion. If we all agreed on everything imagine how boring life would be. There'd be no conversation. But than again block who ever you would like to block for whatever your reason.

How would you know for sure they were the ones doing the thumbs downing?
The only people I've blocked are a few snotty b1tches who have been rude to me.

I don't have people blocked from my profile. I think people give thumbs down because they don't agree with what people said (sorry, that's life) and I think they target certain people just so they can give them that rating.

I think it is wrong to thumbs down anyone- unless the answer is just plain stupid- which I have seen .Some try to be cute and not really answer-
