Alright. I bet it has been puzzling millions of people out there on this wide debate. I have looked and it seems like Limewire is only legal to download uncopyrighted material. (someone please confirm). But, i would like to know, out of the MILLIONS OF MILLIONS of people that have a downloading program (limewire, bearshare, etc), why are only a hand full getting caught and fined? i can't remember the exact number, but it was somewhere around 200milion people have used some software to download something...illegally. But yet only a small portion has got caught and punished. If thr government really wanted to, couldn't they track down [most] 'downloaders' and fine them? (i can see the results in millions of complaints, but still). or is there something i'm missing? Is that hand full of people getting caught doing something different from the rest of the world? insights? opinions? facts?
and then there's bit torrent, etc. what about those? are those legal up to some degree like limewire?
