My husband has weekend visitation with his 2 sons age 15 & 10. His oldest son is 19 now. about a year ago, we learned from the oldest that his mom had threw a birthday party for him in which she provided alcohol & pot. The youngest boys were there, pics were taken. We enlarged the pic, showing a young boy (not ours) smoking pot with them. We reported this to childrens service. They investigated (so they said) then told us it is not illegal for a parent to give their child alcohol. They just sort of blew off the pic. Over past year we heard rumors the boys are left alone alot while she goes to bars & she drinks daily. We had the boys this weekend. The 15 yr old called her to talk , I didnt know he was on phone, accidentally picked up heard her screaming cussing him. She was drunk. He cried says dont want to live there, she does this alot & when she is in bar He walks little brother around town. She has parties til 4 am school nite brings strangers home. Gets angry throws forks

File a case in court narrating the party with alcohol and pot so that custody of the child will be properly given to you.

Well keep calling the Agency, everytime CYS gets a call they have to react and investigate, interviewing the boys, your husband's ex, bartenders even. If you are not satisfied, ask the CYS investigator to get you numbers in your state capital, every CYS agency has a home base in the capital and you can plead your case with them. I am saying call EVERY time they report something. I used to be a CYS caseworker and trust me we don't live with the families and cannot monitor behavior 24/7 nor can we just remove children for any reason. I would also advise your husband to speak with his attorney and file a motion for full custody.

HOWEVER, on the flip side, these children are at an age where they can sometimes manipulate adults if there is a broken home, I am not saying they are but "rumors" are not enough to have children removed from a home. Talk to your kids first and make sure they are telling the truth and not just unhappy with their mother's decision on a rule or something. It happens more than you think.

If child services investigated, and they have too, so they did, and they found nothing wrong then accept it and stop listening to the kids accusations and let them be. Every teen has problems with the parent and will say anything to get the other parent to do something to the other parent. Stop playing the game, it is only detrimental to the well being of both parents.

you need to do the same thing Britney's ex did, file for custody, and take those pictures to the police station and bypass children's services. I am not sure an adult can give alcohol to children in your state but I am sure they can not give them pot
and the police may take action when children's services will not,

Hmmmm, if she gets worse she'll in basic terms use the excuse of "i can't function with out my little ones". i think of that her leaving the scene of an coincidence with out leaving ANY touch documents for the owner of the vehicle she broken, even nonetheless the paparazzi filmed/photographed her interior the act, had to impression the decide. looks that strikes like that would have proved to the decide that she isn't in charge in her strikes and quite of waiting to determine despite the fact that if or no longer she would desire to place her little ones FIRST, he have been given them out of her impression.
