(1) 4x - 5y = 3y + 4
(1) -8y = -4x + 4
Multiply equation (1) by 3:
(1) -24y = -12x + 12

(2) 2x + 3y = 2x + 1
(2) 3y = 1
Multiply equation (2) by 8:
24y = 8

Addition:
(1) -24y = -12x + 12
(2) 24y = 8
0 = -12x + 20
-20 = -12x
x = 20/12 = 5/3
(2) 3y = 1
(2) y = 1/3
Ans: (5/3, 1/3)

Graph:
(1) -8y = -4x + 4
(1) y = (1/2)x -1/2
when x = 0, y = -1/2
when y = 0, 1/2 = (1/2)x
x = 1
plot the points: (0, -1/2) and (1, 0)

(2) y = 1/3
equation (2) is a line parallel to the x axis and 1/3 unit above the x axis.
