Their Trojan Horse technique of attacking capitalism from within and letting it destroy itself through the weight of its own greed and irresponsibility. Had Reagan not meddled with the regulations that protected us from capitalism and capitalism from itself, this might have been avoided, but since when have conservatives been willing to listen to reason?

I can also see that reading and comprehending aren't high on the list of skills required to be a conservative.

Did I say this was a good thing? On the contrary. I explicitly said FDR's regulations were intended not only to protect US from CAPITALISM, bu also CAPITALISM from ITSELF. I reiterate my conjecture that conservatives aren't fond of reading lots of words (i.e., more than about 5, the extent of their attention span).

Jesus H. Christ, do you need it spelled out for you?! The more deaths there are that aren't confined to the sweat shops, the more even people who don't give a flying squirrel about the workers (just like they don't in this country) are going to wake up to how irresponsible global capitalism is f***ing ALL of us over.

China is trying to lift its people out of grinding poverty and globalization is helping them succeed. Their success it not the cause of the US problems. Only 10% of the US trade deficit is with China and most of the things we imports from China we imported from other Asian countries before China stared manufacturing.. The US problem stems form the fact that our savings rates are negative and government deficits are part of the problem as is the spending spree that our high income earners have been on since the 1980's. The US use to save a larger percentage of GDP than is now earned by the lowest paid 50% of America workers.

FDR's attempt to "protect" the U.S. locked in high interest rates and led to runaway inflation. When you're facing a recession, you don't close down banks or the border. The reason people like you attack capitalism with catchwords like "greed" and "irresponsibility" is because you lack the quantitative skills to understand it. So, you resort to petty, superficial arguments based on your gross misperceptions of reality.
Also, people like Milton Friedman and F.A. Hayek would disagree with you. They also happen to hold Nobel Prizes in economics. How would you go about proving them wrong? A good place to start would be an introductory economics and calculus course, but I'm willing to bet you would fail spectaculary at both, so pipe it, hippie.

Well we know that Bush never listens to anyone. As far as calling the Chinese brilliant, that's debatable.
You see, it takes Americans buying their(Chinese) cheap a** products in order for them to usurp the American way.
Walmart is one of their biggest suppliers of American money, next time you want to shop there, see where all of their products are made.
We only have ourselves to blame.
China has always had dreams of conquering the World, so how much fun do you think you're going to have when they rule?
Do you honestly believe THEY will allow you to propagate such ridiculous BS¿ see that upside question mark, you might as well get used to reading backwards and upside down now.....

The Chinese are becoming more and more capitalistic, not destroying it...but emulating it. Remember that we set the rules, the followers are simply innovators.

Just what are you trying to say? Spit it out, you can tell us. Slow down and be more explicit. Let go of all that emotion and just tell what's on your mind. Don't hold back - speak up.
