I think the name Maxine is cute. But the first thing that comes to mind is when I was in elementary school and there was a girl named Maxine that got teased all of the time. Her nick name ended up being maxi-pad. Yea, some kids can be so mean at that age.
If she does decide to go with that name what about Maxine Blue. If I ever have a girl I've always wanted to use blue as a middle name. lol.

I don't think Maxine Ella flows well, but Ella Maxine does and it is a beautiful name. If they definitely want Maxine for the first name, I suggest Maxine Elizabeth, Maxine Rose, Maxine Grace, Maxine Alexandra, or Maxine Jade.

i think that is a really pretty name. I would choose that or i just got done reading a book and this couple just had a baby and they named it Brianna Nicole. I thought that was one of the prettiest names ever. and heres a list of middle names that i think might go well with Maxine (it just all depends on the last name though):
1. Nicole
2. Isabela
3. Kay
4. Renee
5. Joan
I hope this gives you some ideas...

I love Maxine, but don't care for Ella. I think Maxine Eleanor or Maxine Elizabeth would flow better.

Hi,
I think they should switch the order and name her Ella Maxine. Not that Maxine isn't a nice name, but when the kid goes to school, she's going to be teased. At some point her name is going to change to Maxi-pad, or Maxi-Mounds (an "adult" movie star), or something else equally unpleasant. By naming her Ella, they may prevent their child from spending years in therapy.

I like the name Maxine, it will be easy on the child later on in life. What about Maxine Elise? But it would help if we had a last name.

I don't like Maxine at all. I love Ella as a nickname or a first name. Daniella with the nickname Ella is really cute!

I like Maxine. It's not too common. I think Maxine May is nice. It depends on the last name though.

My aunt and uncle wanted to name my cousin Maxine after her grandpa max but they were scared kids would end up calling her Maxi pad lol. So they used it as a middle name. Her name is Jamie Maxine.
