I didn't, before this informative article.
As reported by 1 the 2 top papers in Pittsburgh:

[Penguins captain Sidney Crosby empathizes with Orpik and anyone else dealing with a concussion. He got one when he was about 11 or 12 playing a rough kids' game.
"I was playing Wall Ball and I was running away from the wall and fell backward," Crosby said.
He said the effects, which including vomiting and headaches, lasted a couple of weeks.]
...LOL. Just wow. That has to be the best thing I've read all season. I thought he was coordinated. Maybe not. I wonder if he's gone back since and kicked that wall's a$$ or something?

SHIBAMII - I just thought that someone who's considered to be the world's best hockey player might have gotten a concussion, you know... PLAYING HOCKEY. Maybe it takes a Pens fan to get the humor in this---but personally, if anyone I knew got a concussion playing Wall Ball, I'd laugh at them.

TROMBASS - ...No need to get sarcastic, just because you don't actually get the point of this. Seriously...
WHO GETS HURT PLAYING WALL BALL!?
Have you ever PLAYED Wall Ball? It's not the kind of sport you should ever become that injured playing.
Yeesh. Uptight people.

2eighty8 - Well, no, that makes more sense than Wall Ball.
DAVE - LOL. At least you have a sense of humor.
Jeez, am I only the only one who played Wall Ball as a kid?? Maybe because I'm only about a year younger than Crosby. Maybe I'll ask him to play. Haha.

ZAPCITY - It's a childhood game. You play it... with a wall and a ball. Lol. Sorry for being so obvious, but it's a very simple game. Hence, I was a little surprised Sidney Crosby got a concussion playing that, not like... HOCKEY or anything (which no one seems to get). But then again, he's always been competitive.

lahockey - HERO status? What are you blubbering about? I've deemed him some kind of wonder for getting a concussion playing WALL BALL, but not a hero. Actually, I'm starting to think I could have beat him up around that time.

That's embarrassing! kinda like a ballet dancer falling off a curb.. ooops drrrr!!
That's almost as stupid as my former teacher breaking his hip while watering the lawn. He tripped over the garden hose and landed on the irick sidwall. ouch!
Of course his story to his co-workers was he was playing football o nthe lawn w/his son, but I know the truth.

Sidney Crosby is getting a lot of people saying that he is the next Gretzky, which is possible. Since Gretzky retired in 1999, there has been no other player come into the league that can be said that he might challenge Gretz's records until Crosby. In 2 seasons, Crosby has recorded back to back 100 point seasons as a teenager, becoming the youngest player ever to win the Art Ross Trophy as scoring champion and then the Hart Trophy as MVP last season at the age of 19. The one knock on the kid is that he tends to whine when calls don't go his way, and he also tries to sell calls to refs a lot. In his defence, those are things that you're taught to do in the Junior leagues, and Sid is just 20, so there is time for him mature in that regard. If he manages to stay healthy throughout his career, Sid could very well challenge Gretzky's scoring records. And with the wealth of other young talent surrounding him in Pittsburgh (Evgeni Malkin, Jordan Staal, Marc-Andre Fleury to just name a few, and Angelo Esposito coming up soon), they could very well challenge for the Stanley Cup for many years to come, provided the Pens are able to keep the core of that team under the new cap system.

Concussions are common...usually not a big deal. Sidney Crosby is not a hero or uncommon in any way because he came out of the closet about his previous concussion when he was a little kid. MILLIONS of people get them and don't get the HERO status Crosby gets for coming out.

I doubt he'll be steppin' to that wall anytime soon, but he might talk Laraque into doing it for him after the playoffs.
By the way, wall ball? What the hell is wall ball?
