I am thinking of getting the guy I am dating tickets to a Pittsburgh Penguins Hockey game for christmas. However I do not know that much about hockey or the teams to know which might be good games to watch. I was wondering out of the Buffalo Sabers, Florida Panthers, Carolina Hurricanes, Los Angelos Kings, Ottawa Senators, Philadelphia Flyers, and New York Rangers which might be the best games to see. Thanks in advance!!

Both Bob and Redwings have valid points. The decision would be based on how much of a hockey fan your friend is. If he's really into hockey, then go for Philly, Ottawa or Buffalo for the reasons Bob stated.
If he's just a casual fan, go for Los Angeles or Florida and the better chance of a Penguins win, as Redwings said.

I think he'd like to see the Penguins if he is such a huge fan. The Pens vs. Buffalo, Hurricanes, Senators, and/or Flyers would be great games to watch.

The Rangers or Ottawa will probably be the best games, but you would be better off getting tickets for the Kings game. When Im getting tickets, especially for someone else, I like to pick games that my team is most likely to win. It makes the night sooooo much better.

I think a good game to get tickets to see for a Penguins fan would be a game between the Pens and the Washington Capitals.
Sidney Crosby versus Alexander Ovechkin.

Philly and Pittsburgh should be a gem, both from Penn, they have a hate on for each other and after last year, Philly is looking for payback. You can't go wrong with any Pitt game though, they are fun to watch.
Ottawa and Buffalo games would probably feature lots of goals if you are into scoring which obviously since you are buying him hockey tickets, you are.

I'm a huge Pens fan and I'd probably go to the Rangers, Flyers, or Senators games. (I'm going to a Rangers and a Senators game actually.)

BUT, go to penguins.nhl.com and check for PROMOTION nights. Free stuff is awesome. I got a Pens hat last week at the Habs game. I'm getting a mousepad tomorrow, which... I will have no use for. Lol.

if he wants a good closely matched contest, go with either the sabres or the flyers... if he wants to see a pens punishing of the other team, go with the panthers or the kings... sens would be a great game also and the rangers are well----the rangers...

You could go see the Rangers beat the Penguins in person. But if you don't want to see your team lose, be sure to get tickets when the Penguins face any team other than the Rangers. Merry Christmas in advance.
