When Europe was in trouble because of 5 years against the nazis, America got in and helped defeat the nazis. Im not saying America entered the war because of goodwill, ofcourse it saw the benefits etc..but the thing is it did. IT wasnt his war, he didnt start it, but he got in. Now that America is in trouble, after years of war against arab fundamentalist states ( again im not against the arabs at all!!!!!!! I think they have very good reasons to defend the sovereignity ) but the thing is america is fighting against them.....shouldnt the European Union help now back its old allie? I mean,
just a question....IT would be the polite thing to do...at least.

Europe is very involved in Afghanistan, in fact I think Germany currently controls the NATO command there, but most of Europe was against the war in Iraq, and those countries that did, many faced huge resistance from the public against being there.

And it's very hard to compare the war on terror, which is 90% the war in Iraq to WW2 when almost a whole continent was under the control of the third reich and in asia the military government of Japan was forming it's own huge empire. In that case an actual country attacked us in Pearl Harbor, and 3 days later Germany and Italy declared war on the US.(which was just plain retarded on Hitlers part)

I was alive during WW2 and I can tell you all now that without the help of the Americans, yes and the Russians we would have lost the war and the world would have been a far worse place. Let us not forget America have been our allies and friends for a very long time and I hope for a very long time to come. I only hope that if America ever wanted our help we would be the first country to join in with them .To answer your question in full , yes the UN could, and should do more.

Europe is very much involved in Afghanistan. Most European countries, as well as Canada, felt that invading Iraq had nothing to do with the war on terror. now, most Americans agree. So we haven't helped in the invasion of Iraq, but have been extremely involved in the war on terror.

you're puzzled. this is Europe who considers Muslims to be "little ones of the colonies". interior the case of Pakistanis in great Britain the practice of "Paki Bashing" (beating up Pakistanis) is going lower back to the Nineteen Sixties. this is Europe who compelled Muslim migrants into public housing ghettos and constrained their employment and academic possibilities. The U.S. is the main open society in the international. I also have a mosque approximately 4 miles from my place of abode. this is bracketed by potential of two Christian churches. i can't think of one in all those certainty in Lahore or Islamabad. one in all my physicians is from Pakistan. And he's a Muslim. We went into Afghanistan because of the fact the Taliban does not turn over Usama Bin weighted down and something of the "Hirabah" (terrorists) to us. besides, the Taliban allowed the operation of many Jihadi Madrassas, designed to tutor youthful Muslim men a thank you to habit martyrdom operations against the Jahili regimes of the West. This consists of the killing of Muslims besides, below the heretical doctrine of "Takfir". the two are a Harram (an offense against the Koran). BTW, whilst we invaded Afghanistan, the greater youthful Marine Corporal who raised the U.S. flag on the flag submit at Bagram Air Base became into an Afghan-American and a Muslim!

#1. We brought this "War" upon Ourselves- by ignoring the problems in the Middle East. #2. The Europeans have been dealing with Terrorism for DECADES- so it's nothing new to them & they know how to handle it THEMSELVES. #3. They DON'T like George Bush. And #4. They warned us about going into Iraq- & we Ignored THEM... ... So as far as the Europeans are concerned- we got EXACTLY what we asked for... :(

Are you a complete idiot!
America did very little in the second world war!
They like to think they did, just like they like to think they do everything else right!
Your country is getting plenty of help from all around the world!
We just laid to rest an Australian soldier today that died in Afghanistan!
Did you know that?

Sean W makes a VERY good point about the IRA!!!!!
