i get them too we use stinking vacuum cleaners you cant kill them as fast as they grow. They arent lady bugs though they are most likely an asian lookalike. The difference is the asian ones bite. and some are orangish yellow

We've had these Asian lady beetles in Michigan for several years now. I first saw a presentation on them at an MSU Tree Fruit Seminar. They are distinguished by a slightly different color and their inclination to bite people. They swarmed into our house and died leaving a bad smell. (They were pretty thick because we have an natural/organic orchard beside the house.) They appeared mostly in the south facing windows particularly in the walk out basement. I was told by a local farm supply that because these insects are not directly harmful, they are not what is called "listed" on any insecticide. Thus, licensed exterminators and insecticide sellers are not supposed to apply or recommend insecticide for these pests. Unrelated to the Asian lady beetle problem, we replaced the old and well worn door wall on the south side of the basement and I haven't seen any of them inside since. We had far too many to have been coming in while we had the doors open, so I think they were finding other gaps to crawl through. Maybe caulking structure gaps and adding weather stripping on south facing doors and windows would help.

hey lady bug is my nickname! How'd you know! Well more like buggar..haha. Um yeah at my cousins house, geesh they were everywhere! And I'm deathly afraid of them, so the vacum cleaner does a fine job or getting rid of them. But lets just say I won't be visiting them just for that reason! mwhahahaahaha!

You should get them checked. That happens at my parents'. We thought they were ladybugs too but they're orangish and some kind of beetle.

You may not think of them as being lucky, but they eat other bugs, and are beneficial.
