I assure you I tell the truth and although I say it's his birthday i mean it's the day i purchased him from the shop. scrawny little runt, he was, lurking at the bottom of the tank... i don't have a tank filter, he lives alone, gets fed every couple of days and cleaned out every three months. his name is eldridge

Awww! That's one happy goldfish! I'd say dont do anything different because...well, you know...it could have a bad effect on him. But you, yourself, need to celebrate 16 years of being a good daddy!

A fish cake? Tricky lighting the candles, tho'

Mine was 21 when he went to the Big Tank in the sky.....

Get him a filter + pump for his birthday, then - Guy the goldfish had one in his latter years and it made a new fish of him - won him at a fair one bonfire night, he survived 2 house moves + killed any 'friend' we tried to give him - when his time finally came, we buried him with due ceremony under a rose bush in the garden, and a tear or two was shed, as well....

How about some fresh young girl goldfishes to help him celebrate? Kind of like Hugh Hefner and his girlfriends.

wow my goldfish lasted for less than 2 weeks!
there isn't anything you can give a golfish, cuz if u want to give more food as a treat it could die! so maybe u can just play with it all day or get it a mate, that'll be fun! ;)
