hi i rebuilt my 4.3 ans my grand kids lost my manual lol so i need to adjust the lifters there hyd. rollers someone just said you tighten them down

Tighten them down until a few threads are showing on top of the nut. Start the engine tighten the nut until the rocker arm stops clacking, then ¼ turn & it is set. This is the messy way of doing it. If you can get another set of valve covers & cut the top out just over the nuts, it saves a lot of mess.

On hydraulic lifters they are internal of the engine block. Usually when you adjust the "valve lash" this is the only adjustment that is done. Hydraulic lifters are not adjustable, they are good or going bad. If there is a tapping noise and especially after you've just rebuilt the engine, the only real adjustment that you can perform is a valve adjustment. You do this after you have torqued all the specified head bolts and rocker arms that come off of the push rods. Be Carefull!
