I got this flat wrong on my quiz and obviously need a little more help with it...

lim (sin x) / (3x)
x->infinite

Zero. The best way to think about it is as x gets very big, sin(x) will have a value between 1 and -1. and 1/(3x) will get very small, so when you take the limit 1/3x will go to zero.

sin x will oscillate between 1 and -1, but as x→∞, 3x→∞, and so the fraction → 0.
