You are old when you feel old. It's really a matter of attitude. If you are depressed and not physically well, you will feel old. A person being abused would most likely feel very old at that time. Hopelessness is a big part of this feeling.
When you feel very happy, and are well, you will feel young. So after a victim of abuse is out of the situation, gotten counseling, and is living a happy life, they will feel young. Here the hopefulness and enthusiasm is a big part of how that person will feel.

That is a matter of opinion. I am 51 and don't feel old. Several of my friends think they are thought. I do believe that when a person feels they don't want to make a change, or they don't' want to learn anymore they are old. Actually I work with many 'really' old people at a nursing home who are younger then some of my friends. They are vibrant, learning, and really cool.
OK, bottom line a state of mind. And you?

You are only as old as you act!!!! I clean houses, and many of the people I clean for in their 60's-70's are OLD. They sit around and do not much of anything, nor do they volunteer in the community. HOWEVER; I also clean for quite a few 90-plus people who still live in their own homes and live life to the fullest!! My favorite is a woman who will be 99 this December, lives in her own home, gardens, plays bridge, still drives, is up on current events, and makes homemade cookies to take to the "old folks" at the nursing home!!! Again; I say--you are only as old as you act...as long as you are mostly healthy!! Age is an ATTITUDE--not a restriction!!

A person becomes 'old' when that person has more good advice to give than needs good advice. I'm 'old' here, because I can give good advice ... but I'm also 'young' because I still love to play, to laugh, and to learn. I'm WISE because I know that both make my life better ... and I keep learning new things, so my advice keeps getting better all the time.

When "nights in" are no longer boring!
When you have to start trimming hairs off your moles!!
When the soles of your feet go hard & cracked!
When ya hair starts greying (or men: falling out!!)
When you notice guys no longer beep (or whistle) at you when walking down the street!
When the pounds seem to pile on just by looking at a cake!
When you can no longer read the newspaper without glasses!
When bedtime is no longer after midnight!
When you're no longer bothered how fashionable your clothes are!
When you start doing sensible things such as buying life insurance!
When your teeth are no longer entirely all your original own!
.....I could go on! haha

when they feel old despite their age. I'm 52 and can do more now than when i was half that age. I run two miles a day and lift weights 1 1/2 hours a day, so age doesn't mean anything.

When they feel old. The worst thing about aging is that a big part of you still thinks you are 25.

Legally at age 65 but old can be a very objective and subjective adjective. You can be 20 and feel old (especially around younger people).

When they can't remember where they were going or what they wanted to get when they got there, and needed help getting out of the car and into the go cart at the Wal Mart.
