I was watching a classic episode of GH on Soapnet on Sunday evening and it made me wish for the days when it was filled with characters you actually cared about

I can not speak for many many years ago but the writing lately has been very bad! I ave been watching General Hospital about 6 years and even from then the writing has gone downhill. I don't care for very many characters anymore..... maybe 2-3 and I am generally bored where the storyline is taking us. I think they need new/ better writers and to put some more characters on that aren't just sleeping with everyone and everything or connected to the mob in every way possible..... PLEASE HELP THEM HELP US.......lol

I so totally agree. I started watching the day Luke and Laura got married. If I watch it twice a week that's a lot. I do miss they "glory" or Gloria Monty days. The mob thing had been done. It needs to get back to it's roots. When Laura came back to GH after being kidnapped by the Casidines people stopped what they were doing to watch. The show was much more interesting years ago. They brought back some of the old characters but did not know what to do with them.

Are you kidding? I think GH just keeps getting better and better! I love the mob drama and the acting is great. I've been watching for 9 years now and I am totally hooked. I wish I would have seen the days with Stone and Frisco but I'm satisfied with the current characters. I think Johnny Zacharra and Jerry Jacks are two of my new favs. I really want Helena and Brenda to come back. You can watch classic episodes on SoapNet? I'll have to check that out.

I have to admit that I'm not that into the LuLu story right now. I do understand that they are trying to tie into some of the history of the show, which is a good thing. I'm just not crazy about this story. It kinda seems forced. I like the Sonny, Jax, Carly, Jerry mob story. I am even starting to get into the Nichols story. I don't think it's bad it's just not as action packed as year before. I liked Robins story line but it's getting a little boring. I wish they would step it up. This isn't going to make me stop watching the show. I've been watching it off and on since I was in Elementary school when my mom watched it.

I love the OLTL Character on the show and IMO they are the better stories at the moment. I wish they would get rid of Maxie but I say it has good days and bad days/weeks. I really like the DID storyline it is making me like this Kate more but the baby switch story can go away NOW!

I agree completely. It's been going steadily downhill for the past ten years or so, and every time I think it can't get worse, it does. I spend more time watching old clips now than I do watching the new episodes.

I agree, the show should be renamed to everybody loves Lulu since she is having so much face time and it seems like everyone is in love with her. Plus, the stories this past month are soo boring, they need to bring it up a noch

Todays Episode was Horrible...The GH writers need to learn that you don't need to have Carly ,Sonny or Elizabeth in every single Episode.....

The writing of the old days was a lot better, I wish the stories would focus more on love and not violence.

I agree with Lostie. I haven't watched as long as Lostie but in the year and a half that I have watched, I have really enjoyed the writing and the characters....
