Gwen, that dish sounds so tasty makes want to hop plane to Tahiti.
Mrs. Johnson and AbFab, those meals are making my mouth water.
Delilah, :) that's how I could, no wonder I'm missing Mom's cooking.

OMG my mom could cook! You don't know how many times I have wished I could have one of her meals...She could make roast beef with the gravy from the drippings......I have never tasted it as good as hers and perfect everytime! She would fix that with mashed potatoes, a fresh green salad with her own salad dressing she'd make from Miracle Whip, then we'd have dinner rolls, ice tea, and Sour Cherry Cream Pie.....oh.........Lord it was GOOD! Wish we had some now you'd think it was heaven....

Well.....you couldn't say she actually cooked...but I must
give this to her: She could get the most amazing meals
delivered to our house....she knew how to order well.
A definite culinary skill although presently not ranked.
My dad, however, could cook the world's greatest ribs,
trout, lobster and steak on the old BBQ. He could have
had his own restaurant. So I guess I can't legitimately
answer your question....looking forward to some recipies
from the anwerers though.

We're originally from Tahiti (near Hawaii), and my mom makes the best traditional raw fish salad called "Poisson Cru". It's tuna with coconut milk, salad, lime juices, cucumbers and tomatoes. It's a real treat and super healthy too.
If you ever go to Tahiti one day, you gotta try it , you'll love it, everyone does !

Somehow my mom makes the best mac 'n cheese in the world. granted, she can make fancier things, but i always request the mac 'n cheese when i'm home from school. it's dynomiteee
