I don't really see who would beat them.

It is still so early but they are definitely as always a top contender. I don't get how people get so excited (Wild) or panic (Ducks) after a handful of games. 82 games gives alot of time to make up ground or falter. I just don't get it.
I do have a hard time believing Hasek will hold up another full year but I said that last year and was wrong. I have also heard that they are again courting Danny Markov, can't believe that guy has not signed somewhere yet.

Over the long haul, the Wings qaulity will win out.
Last season they had a brutal three games west coast trip and won the conferernce. We are barely in the middle of October. The long grind favours them.

nope impossible for them not to win.
with all bias aside I still don't think they'll lose the confrence, the only teams that may give them a run for their money is colorado, and the way things are looking, minnesota, no I don't think the Ducks will be in the top of the confrence.

They are the class of the East.
I remember the posts last year asking who which team was better....Buffalo or Minnesota after all, both teams were unbeaten after 6 games.............and we all know where both of them ended up.
