No -but don't breath it in if possible. It is heavier than air and will sink to the bottom of your lungs and push the oxygen out if you inhale to much.

Freon Poisoning

Freon is not toxic. But, it displaces oxygen. So, if you have a high enough concentration of freon in the air you breathe, you actually asphyxiate (lack of oxygen to the brain) rather than being poisoned.

There's not a whole lot of freon in a fridge. Just keep the area well ventilated until the freon completely discharges.

Is Freon Toxic

I heard that it is if you have had heart problems in the past

Fortunately, Freon does not have serious long term health consequences. Breathing low concentrations of freon from a leaking refrigerator or air conditioner over a long period of time is unlikely to have a cumulative effect, and thus few, if any, long term health effects

Yes, freon is harmful to humans because it can cause irregular heart beat. Freon is a type of gas usually used in air conditioners and refrigerators.

Freon is non-toxic, but on the other hand if the fridge had a compressor burnout and the freon is burnt in any way, it does become very toxic. Basically it turns into mustard gas. But I doubt this is the case here. PS. It would smell really really bad, and be very difficult to breath.

I used it to clean tape recorder heads back in the 1970's before they found out it ate holes in the ozone layer. The stuff we used smelled like a skunk, but that may have been added to keep people from inhaling it. There probably isn't enough in a small fridge to cause problems unless there is no ventilation in the room.

No, freon is inert and not at all toxic.
It is a suffocant, but the amount in a
mini fridge would not be a hazard.

No. Most CFCs are highly stable. This makes them almost chemically inert. Because they don't participate in any reactions under normal conditions, they're not poisonous.
