Imlach left Buffalo with bad blood. It was not a good scene. Imlach was that kind of person though. Burning bridges was old hat to him (kinda like the hats he was famous for).

If any team should be honouring Punch, it should be Toronto.

With the exception of Pelle Lindbergh, almost every NHL player who was killed during his career has a banner somewhere. Snider refused to honour Lindbergh at first due to the nature of the accident (high blood alcohol level, etc).

wow, never heard of him until i looked at wikipedia and im a sabres fan (but im too young to even know him). that dude was an ***. i would of fired him right after he faked that draft pick. im sure many people are glad he had all those heart attacks and died. why the hell would any one want to hire him? why would you even ask this question? they should make a banner for him and burn it.

Are you referring to "The Leafs I Knew" by Scott Young Old Timer?

Why? It's not like they won anything during his relatively short-lived tenure as coach. He was not well liked by his players either.

The best part of that era was the "French Connection" line.

To be honest, at first I thought it was some kind of pun. Wikipedia proved me wrong:

Are they supposed to? If they have not by now then I can't really see it happening. Besides, wasn't his history with them short lived?
