I always buy those eyeshadows that come with two or three. Do you put the darker color on top and the brighter one on top or vice versa? I know when you have three, you usually sweep this on as the highlight between the two. I want to start wearing eyeshadow again but I always get frustrated how to put it on. Thanks!

1)darkest color, on the outer corner of the eye
2)Mid color, goes on the inner eyelid and BLENDs into the dark.
3) lightest color, on the brow bone just under the eyebrow
4) and blend lightest color into eyelid.

EASY!

I didn't read the above answers, just going to tell you how I do my eyeshadow. I always get compliments.

Lets say my shades were Emerald (Lightest) Jade (Lighter) and my dark color will be my Violet (Dark).

1. Emerald would be my highlight, the two spots for highlights on a eyelid are just under the brow, and in that little pit that is between your eye and your nose.
2. My dark shade is Violet, which would be applied only to my lid itself.
3. My middle tone would be my Jade, which would go into the crease of my eye. Circular motions with a shaded brush is the perfect way to apply this. I never EVER suggest using the spongy applicators, I would never leave brushes.
