You see a few people already regurgitate the talk-radio nonsense that Iran doesn´t need nuclear power because it has so much oil. Baloney!
Iran´s population is growing and the country is getting industrialized. In the process, it is gobbling up more and more of its own petroleum resources. It does not want to end up like Indonesia. Once an exporter, now importer of oil. It wants to extend the export life-cycle of its most important commodity---oil---and to do this, it needs nuclear power for its domestic energy consumption. It will not make that much from rug sales or exports of pistachios No oil exports=no future.

Iran has threatened Israel on numerous occasions. I am surprised Israel didn't bomb the sh*t out of them yet.

You really think Iranians are peaceful?
I think they have a very unstable government led by a lunatic with lots of lunatic backing.
I don't like the idea of crazies having nuclear access.
I can still recall the state sponsored taking of hostages by the Irani government, I do not, and I will not trust them. Especially with the capacity to go nuclear.
Israel is a far more stable government, and yes, they are on our side, they also do our dirty work in the region for us.
