My hat to this brave soldier who finally realized that those who kill are sinners to be rotten in hell fire. He had Jesus in his heart and he may have finally been saved if he did not have blood on his hands.

Yes Jesus said love your enemy, but Iraqis are not even enemies. Prior to the 2003 illegal invasion, they never threatened or killed an American wherever that American was.

It is important that Christians not allow deviant politicians destroy the image of the Lord. We now know that even the Chrusaders were not Christians. These were Knights Templar who turned out to be sexually deviant creatures with a plan to destroy Christianity itself and take over the world at large. They were justly crucified by King Philip IV of France for their heresy.

"I hope they invalidate his diploma"

they might. That is one tactic to keep people in line - with the agenda.

"Many believe that military service is not inconsistent with Christian beliefs."

it is not the military service, it is the killing of people and destroying countries that isnt.

"he did not need to join. He was not drafted. In fact, if he went to West Point, he asked a lot of people many times."

he joined then was led to correctly believe that killing people who did nothing to him or his nation was wrong. He finally saw the sign - Jesus blessed him. "he had no conflict between his faith and military service until after he graduated...in 2004 and began to study scripture and his belief."

Like many people, he was manpulated by the media and lies by the Bush administration. But you cannot all fool people all the time. Sooner or later people get the truth - that is why you will see the troops coming home by the end of 2008 and in large numbers.

In a just war, may be. In an illegal war, a war of aggression, BIG no. Even in a just war, killing innocent people and destroying their countries in the way that is currently done is BIG no and Jesus would never allow it.

and i do not understand how you continue to justify and support a war that the world as a whole believes was unnecessary and illegal. The only explanation is that you are willing to go with the "agenda" and sacrifice your own logic and conscious for it.

You do not believe in Jesus. If you do not believe in God you can practically do and justify anything because you believe you will not be punished for it. That is the logic i see here.

If that is Christian values I want no part of it. He used the government to get a college education at West Point based on his promise that he would serve. He then "found God" and broke his promise.

I hope they invalidate his diploma.

Many believe that military service is not inconsistent with Christian beliefs. See as an example: http://minuteswithmessiah.tripod.com/question/military.html

If he did not support "the agenda" (what ever that is, people that call it that refuse to elaborate) he did not need to join. He was not drafted. In fact, if he went to West Point, he asked a lot of people many times.

He even swore an oath that ended with "So help me God"

"I, _____ (SSAN), having been appointed an officer in the Army of the United States, as indicated above in the grade of _____ do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign or domestic, that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; that I take this obligation freely, without any mental reservations or purpose of evasion; and that I will well and faithfully discharge the duties of the office upon which I am about to enter; So help me God."

"it is not the military service, it is the killing of people and destroying countries that isnt." - They go hand in hand.

Generally I'd have got to say no, there are definitely a few contributors available in the market who simplest search CO repute to get out early with the advantages however plenty of COs simply get a regular discharge with out advantages. I'm presently making use of for CO repute myself. I joined the Army to aid humans, after having served honorably in Afghanistan and killing tons of people over there I noticed that that is rather no option to larger others lives. I would not recollect myself a coward in any respect, after having actually rushed a DShK function throughout terraces and doing more than a few different matters humans might recollect valorous, I've simply got here to realise myself and the sector larger and I'm doing what I've continually performed ago. Jesus himself said it " render unto GOD that which is GOD'S; and render unto Caesar's that which is Caesar's."

When he swore an oath before GOD to serve as a US soldier, he became Caesar's implement, he no longer had the right to refuse a lawful command.

This soldier should not have been released from service - there are thousands of jobs he could have been required to do state side to serve out his commitment. At the very least he should be forced to pay back the government for the cost of his education plus interest.
