I am with you, Humanist! The two major parties are filled with people who do nothing but backbite the other party! What ever happened to representing the people? I think those that apply for the job of public office need to be reminded who they work for. They are only public servants anyway! Let's take back America for Americans!

Of course you are right....but the trouble is with the voting system we have, unless a major amount of people were all in one accord, the Independent could not win....because of the voting college and electerol votes.
The second best chance we have is for each party to focus on the best of the group....and the choice is pretty sad....but I will pick the reason as the most important of any of them....which is "does this person have personal values....that matter for the security of our nation.....and in a crisis, will this person know how to lead.....since I can't agree with many of them...I will also "rule out" what I feel will hurt, and not help our country as a whole.....
So I will consider Fred Thompson....want to see what he does and says for awhile.....Romney, because I think he can lead, and he has personal family values that are real and show in his own life....and Guliani...because he instinctively is an American first...and has no hesitation is doing what is right for our country....in that regard he is a "typical American"....but there are things about him, I don't like as well.
You are right that Hillary would be a disaster for our country, Obama is an empty suit...with hidden agendas as well, and Ron Paul says too many foolish things to take him seriously, and Al Gore is a first class liar, and gets caught in them all the time. How could you believe anythings he does?
I agree not a good choice...which is why I am still watching and considering Fred Thompson...
The bottom line is.... Who can beat the other pack of fools?

Is the real problem with all of these candidates that they don't understand and are not addressing the issues that are in the backs of all our minds? I want to know if the U.S. will ever be the country it was. Do any of them have that goal in mind except Ron Paul. Isn't that his overall appeal?
Has it occurred to anybody that with globalization and the threat of terrorism, we are supposed to get it through our heads that being a soveriegn nation under our Constitution as it was intended is no longer an option? Foreigners deciding our future, one way or another, is really difficult to swallow.

The only difference between democrats and republicans at this point, which group of pigs is at the trough first. Corporate America with their lobbyists and special interest groups have their hands so deep into the politicians pockets they can squeeze their balls. We complain and complain and then elect the same kind of unethical, immoral people over and over. Vote all incumbents out for the next six or eight years. Complaining won't do it, actions will. It's up to us.

Vote Independent? Name an independent candidate that is running and tell me what they stand for. I'm not going to vote independent just for the sake of voting independent.

AGREE with you Humanist,
OBAMA is the man and the only way to get things back on track again.
Let's hope, its not too late to fix this fiasco!
It's sadly amazing to see, none of the two parties budge from their dirty politics, agendas and other craps!
PS, but do you really believe "they" will allow him to win?!
I do doubt it!

I will wait until the final outcome before deciding on who to vote for. However, you can count on it not being a republican, and probably not a democrat. I am sick of all those rich, callous, pinheads.

I think we should take a look at all the major corporations in America that had the most significant growth over the last 5 years, and elect one of those CEO's as president. If they can take a multi-billion dollar company and increase it's profit through lower spending, higher return, takig good care of their employees, and practical policies, then clearly they're capable of managing the country.

I agree. First time ever. Remind me-what does each party stand for. Doesn't make any difference.
