I have several shoe boxes full of it.. I'd like to digitize them all so I can get rid of it.

The quickest way is to scan them or photograph them, and then file each picture by name, date and whatever else you might want to look up. For example if you know you will want a total of who ordered purple widgets last year, you could add "purple" to the filename.

there is no quick way to do this. You would need to scan all the paperwork and then save to your pc, which can be very time consuming. Then you can use a program like PrimoPdf that works like a printer driver but saves them as a pdf file. The new Primopdf now allows you to append a file so that they will all be in one file instead of several. However, tax wise, if you are running a business I think it necessary to keep the originals but I'm not sure, and also businesses will not give refunds without the original receipt not a copy.
