what would happen? my mom told me to come up w/ 10 reasons or id get grounded

If LaSalle hadn't come to Texas
1. Not much difference would have been made in the history of Texas (except, that we would not have 3 Six Flags Theme parks)
2. LaSalle probably would have eventually landed at the mouth of the Mississippi River, and instead of founding Ft. Louis in Matagorda Bay Texas, he would have had access to the central parts of the US.
3. LaSalle would not have tried to trek by land from Texas to the Great Lakes which resulted in his death.
Sorry I can think of no other significance to LaSalle landing his small party in Texas only to have all killed either on the trek north or by the Karakawa Indians
