Definitely pop. They threw a little steel guitar into one of her records and played it on country stations. She never belonged there. Country started losing its purity around the mid-1970's and sold out in the 1980's. There are still some traditional sounding artists out there but there's a lot of crossover stuff that I can't listen to.

Pop. never thought of her as country. First time I heard anyone mention her as country was the last question you had that you mentioned her name. Just never ocurred to me.

Pop, she had a great country album out in the early 80's, but i don't think she made it in country music. One of my faves was "If you love me, let me know"
