if you have bt broadband, you can get broadband talk (evening and weekend calls to uk landlines, up to an hour) for free. and the bt home hub is fine. i've had mine for about 8-9 months, never turned off, no problems, hooked up a laptop and ps3 with no worrys.

skype to skype is free on your computer.
skype out. is you pay them and you can phone landlines and mobiles you can buy credit by paypal
