Do you believe that anyone who threatens the sovereignty of our nation that takes office should be tried for treason? Then why haven't we heard more from the media about the North American Union? Is there something the President needs to tell us? What is going on? I hope there would be mass outcry if something like this ever takes shape? Does anyone know what the deal is? Is this why none of our elected officials are getting serious about border issues?

I'm beginning to think it is part of globalization which will lead to a one world government. Globalization won't work. It will only tear the world apart but since it seems to be so great for capitalism, that is the only perspective that our leaders consider. They are stupid enough to think that as long as there is a good economy for the rich, civilization will survive. I don't agree. We need a new approach to world trade and security. Countries can cooperate with each other without melding into one.

maximum folk prefer to maintain their counties sovereignty basically the Elite few prefer to have a sparkling international Order, a One international government so as that they are in a position to rule the international. Sovereignty acts as a bulkhead between international places, some international places are dictatorships, some are communist, and so on, so this is a sturdy component to have, in spite of the actuality that we are and constantly would be voters of the international, as all of us could do our bit to shield it, and we'd make a greater useful activity of it if shall we do away with those Elite who make wars.

Border security is not needed when a superhighway from Mexico to Canada through the USA starts construction, my guess, we'll need the cheap labor to build it, we can't possibly pay Americans a living wage to build their own road to destruction. Socialism, Communism, Fascism, we don't need to worry about any of those things. Capitalism, corporationism, "free" trade, it's going to destroy our economy. Corporations are becoming less and less willing to pay American workers when they can get foreign workers to make things cheaper. Never mind we are starting to see more than the occasional tainted, toxic, poisonous products on our shelves. We're losing more than our sovereignty, we're losing our identity as a nation.

Pat Buchanan does

"Author Pat Buchanan says President Bush should be impeached for failing to stop the invasion of illegal aliens across the U.S. border with Mexico...."I think he's committed an impeachable offense in refusing to enforce the immigration laws and in failing to uphold the Constitution by defending the states against this invasion," Buchanan told radio talk-show host Curt Smith this weekend on National Public Radio stations in upstate New York."

No such thing as total sovereignty unless you are an isolated people. US is not. It dominates others financially and in return offers poverty wages for those fleeing the poverty created in their own countries by US finance, World Bank, IMF etc. You should worry!! Think of the rest of us los ing our sovereignty to your rulers and rich.

It would be nice if we could turn back time and things could go back to the way they were. At this day we live in, however, I don't believe that any nation is truly sovereign any more. With the systems that are already in place, such as, The U.N. and the World Court, who can honestly claim that their nation is sovereign?

First, you put all the pieces in place. Then you start your attack. Then, before you know it, it's Check Mate!

Politicians don't care about the American people anymore. Americans will have to stand up for themselves and keep a close eye on their elected officials.

I do believe in the sovereignty of the United States, and I also don't believe in the myth of any North American Union. We don't want it, Canada doesn't want it, and Mexico doesn't want it, so who do you think would be in this Union? Just Greenland?

Edit: This is for "Right You Are Ken", the highway you've described has existed for several decades. The name changes across national borders, but in the U.S. we call it "Interstate 5". It runs from Southern Mexico through California, Oregon, Washington, and Canada, all the way into Alaska.

sovereignty for one person isn't the same as sovereignty for another...

it's a very variable term...

I believe in sovereingty to some degree, but I don't like the idea of people being tried for treason for it...

There will not be the "Union" that you are fearing.

It's not a sovereignty issue, it's an economic umbrella.

Don't worry, there won't be any mexican fighter pilots in our air force.
