I need some ideas. OK so I want to help the poor for thanksgiving and I am running an event online where for every person who mails me in a video game, i buy a canned food or turkey or something? Any ideas would be appreciated on actually what I should buy and where do I send it to? Like is there a donation website for this kind of thing?

What Jose? you don't even make sense. I am donating for each person who mails me in this game.

No for each in-game mail I get (which costs NOTHING for someone to mail me), I will be giving something to charity...

I understand what you're saying- You play an on-line game and for everyone that e-mails you in the forum/guild/whatever- you donate something to charity. Contact a local church and see if and when they will begin accepting donations. If you would like to be nondenominational about it- you can contact Good Will, Salvation Army or Disabled American Veterans.

Not sure I understand. Are you asking people to mail you video games and in return, you will donate canned goods or a turkey somewhere? If so, are you looking for new or used games and what's up with that? Correct me if I'm wrong here, but it sounds like you anticipate getting a lot more than you'll be giving.
EDIT: Okay, now I get it! Why don't you contact your local food pantry? I'm sure they would be thrilled to work with you. They could let you know what they need and being local, it wouldn't be too far for you to deliver it. Our church has a food pantry. The nun who runs it often puts notices in our church bulletin letting us know if she's in need of certain items. Whenever we bring in a donation, we drop it at her door and she makes sure it gets to the people who need it. Another thing most food pantries will take is cash. That way, they can buy what they need themselves. The nun who runs our food pantry does that. She'll shop for fresh fruit and vegetables occasionally.
Good luck!

definite. there are an excellent style of human beings that don't have a Thanksgiving if human beings didn no longer donate nutrition. we've a community nutrition pantry it really is administered by technique of my church, and that is continually finished 365 days round. human beings can are available in and take regardless of they opt for. At Thanksgiving, we provide present certificate to our community grocery shops in basic terms so that they could pass and choose what they prefer for Thanksgiving. this is a real take care of for some human beings, as nutrition paying for isn't a element they could freely do. So definite - and that is something that makes you sense stunning, and intensely grateful for what you've.

Wrong area for this question. BUT,..... you have a good idea, Salvation Army always needs help, call some churches and see what you can do to help.
