I'm trying to perfect napping. Well, one time I napped for two hours and it was too long, so when I woke up I was too tired. One time I napped for like 5 minutes and it was too short, so i was still tired. One of my friends told me she like's to do a "20 minutes power nap", I have yet to try it. So, to everyone out there in answer land, how long do you nap for if at all, what do you think is the best time length to nap in order to have the most energy, and why do you like to nap?

I do 20 to 40 minutes every day. Not too much, but just enough to get me refreshed. I have napped like this almost every day of my life for as long as I can remember (pre-teens) and I am now 30.
I used to nap at work after lunch. I come home from the office now and nap. I even still make my kids nap and they are 7 and 9, hubby naps too. People think it's odd, but we are a happy family, so go figure.

Napping is awesome! I started freshman year in college and wow, I nap in between classes all the time. 20-30 is the best length of time to nap, if it's just a quick pick-me-up. If you nap longer you will end up feeling even more groggy and unable to concentrate. I like to nap because sometimes a day is just too long to be awake :). Have a great nap!!

I like to nap but it's a bad habit for me. You see if I nap say at 2:oo pm even for 20 minutes, the next day I want to as well and the next and the next. Now I've formed a pattern and my body tells me to sleep at that time every day. I can't stay awake! how embarassing in meetings or at lunch with friends!

I take naps at 3 when i get home from school,
and i usually sleep till about 4 30.

That doesn't make me too tired And i get enough

i never nap .
the thing is, no matter how long you nap, in the end you will still feel tired. just have a regular amount of sleep at night and doze off all weekend.
thats what they're for, right? LMAO .

i just started taking naps regularly last year for the first time of my life. even in like preschool or regular school i never had naptime in school. and all my life i would sleep at like 8 and wake up and have no need to take naps mid day. but now i sleep like past midnight and wake up at like 6 to go to school. but what i h8 most about naps is when you take a nap and wake up and feel like its a new day. DONT YOU H8 THAT?
