you can possibly inject your entire body with botox to preserve the skin from sagging if you want, but your bones will gradually weaken and your entire body becomes stiff/difficult to get around...probably take 2 hours to walk to and from the kitchen.basically, move at a snail's pace and your brain power deteriorates.everyone around you, might live to 110 but not nearly as old as you and your family members/friends will die but you'll still be able to see the younger generation, which is the hypothetical scenario.would you want to be that old? why or why not? explain.thanks.

what is the ideal age you want to live to be?

I don't want to become a grumpy sloth but I am curious to see what the future holds, such as flying cars or brain transplants or the resurrection of the dinosaurs?:-D

No way. Life's already been hard enough. With the allergies/sensitivities I've developed there is so much I can't do and so many places I can't go. There are days of migraines and vomiting and I can't eat many of the foods I like now. Our family is scattered in different states. The economy is terrible. I don't want to even think about living to 200.

I had a dear friend pass away last year at 102 yrs. She was in a wheel chair, but fairly healthy and her mind was very sharp. Her parents, husband, friends, most of her generation were gone. She still watched her soap opera, old movies, kept up with fashion and the news, and had many visitors. She went home to visit family on special occasions. She enjoyed wherever she was at the time, even in the retirement home, more than anyone I've know. Yet even she was ready to go 'home'.

It took me long enough to get to 60. Somehow, I just don't think I want to make that other 140 year journey.

I will grant you with the invention of Nanotechnology, there is every possibility that I could live to be 200 or more. But I've seen all that I want to see, and done more than most women.

I'm not as old as my parents were when they died, however, I've done a far site more than they did, and I'm not anywhere near done yet. Another 60 years would do just fine. I mean, that's what our bodies were designed for, 120 years.

And too, I don't know that I want to be forced to live through the problems that seem to be staring us in the face. It's bad enough that the rest of my family will have to deal with them.

No, I don't think I want to live to be 200 years old. Too risky!

No, I do not even want to live to be 100.
How would I support myself, I can't see living on SS for the next 140 years. Everyone else that I know would be gone, so it would be very lonely, and boring.
Besides I will just be coming back again to do it all over in another body.Reincarnation. So why pospone the inevitable.
The world is getting worse, not better, and I don't wish to see it happen. Like they say life sucks and then you die!!!!

Old age is a tough thing. I can't imagine anything so hard as when your body starts to fail, but your mind remains sharp.

I honestly don't know if I would want to live that long. If I could still retain a goodly amount of health, mobility and mental clarity, then yes. Otherwise, no. There is life and then there is living. Sitting in a chair 24/7 and drooling all over yourself is not living. That's not for me.

When I was young I would have said yes.....but not anymore. It's getting just too hard . Too many people.....resources going to pot.........I had hoped for a wonderful "Star Trek" utopia.....but somewhere along the line we have apparently taken a wrong road and are going backwards. Don't really want to tread this ground again and don't really feel like being here to pick up the pieces just to die when it might turn around. If only everything were different....maybe.....but it's not ........

Not unless I could be healthy. I'm disabled now & feel a lot older than I am. I have days where I can't do much of anything. People in my family were physically healthy, but had alzheimer's. If I can't recognize my family, what good would it do to meet future generations? So, no.

I would love to. I think we can go back to the past with fond memories. But the future is the interesting one. what will it be like in 200 years time? I would honestly love to be around. I love the new as well as the old.

I want to live as long as I can relatively healthy. A few aches and pain are o.k. Brain dead won't work. I do want to see what the future hold like you and I also want to watch my grand kids grow. I so love being with them.

I want to live until I die. The body was designed to live. If I am here at age 200, so be it.

no, i wouldn't want to live that long because all your family members that you cherish would have died, and yoiu would be all lonely in the world. also, i cant bare to see anymore people in the world die, and sooner or later, it's either you die of old age soon (ok), or you die from global warming (bad), A nuclear weapon (worse), or a metiorite hitting and crushing your bones (terrible), so... yea... that's about it....
