I think it's horrible and should never be done........It would be like holding the World Series in a country other than the U.S.............Hopefully this is only some dumb talk from the NFL and will have no real results................I think football will suffer, here in the U.S., if this even comes close to being a reality.............CAT

It would be a huge insult to all of the fans that throughout the entire season, who supported their favorite (home) team, and then to not have the opportunity to watch it in the US. I mean, the price of the tickets for the Superbowl are enough.....What about the cost of Airfare, Lodging, Food, Drinks, Souveniers etc......to go to London! NO WAY!
*******Commisioner Roger Goodell******** To take the Superbowl away from the American people would be treason and you stand a chance at losing face with the American people. Televise it in London, Play it at HOME! I have season tickets to the Dallas Cowboy home games and a tornado couldn't pry me away from any of the away games on TV. There are thousands of RED BLOODED americans that WILL NOT STAND FOR THIS! John - Central Texas

What a sham. London to get a superbowel? What about American cities like Denver, Cleveland or KC where the city pumps millions of tax dollars into the stadiums and have no shot at the big game because of weather? Keep the game and revenue in America!

I think it's an insult to the fans of the teams that would be in the game. Suppose it's Cleveland, or New Orleans that happen to be in it that year. These are teams who's fans have waited years for their teams to make it and now they have to travel to London if they want to see it? Disgraceful. Besides, the brits are always running down American Football.

Stupid Idea!! Fine for the Corprate sponsers. But it is the
Average Fan that fills the Teams seats every game day
How the hell are they going to get there and stay there for
a week The Dollar is So weak right now no one will be able
to afford to go over there. I hope that he thinks of the Fans that
are able to get tickets becase of the Loyalty they had for the team that they support with thier pocket money

Sounds like the league setting the stage to insist cities bid for the rights to the game. When the big game rolls into a city a huge influx of cash results. This looks to me like the NFL is trying to squeeze more cash from their big event a la the Olympics.

Great. When will they hold trade us HUGE soccer tourneys over here? Thats right they won't. So instead of getting ANYTHING in return were giving up a LOT of money and pulling away from the fan base that has made the NFL and super bowl what it is.

Not thrilled to have the venue removed from its fan base, but it will not affect me in the least, since I can not expect to afford tickets to the event, in any case.
In fact, I have not been able to aford tickets to ANY NFL game in years.
If the leage were really interested in promoting international interest in the game, it should consider staging the Superbowl in Mexico, where it has been demonstrated, in pre season games, that Mexicans LOVE American style football. Down there, they have FANS!

It sucks big time. They are six hours ahead of us. So are the going to start the game at 12:00/1:00pm our time. Who wants that. It is the build up that makes the day great. Getting ready for the big game, starting the party at 4:00 and taking the next day off to recover.

I think its dumb. If the foreigners hate American Football so much, let them. They can have their soccer and rugby. Dont move play it in London, because first of all, nobody would go, and second of all, youre depriving people in America who would give anything to go to a Super Bowl for people in England who dont give a crap.
