Why should the American taxpayers foot the bill for the missile defense system President Bush wants?

to put in Eastern Europe? I don't hear any of them clammoring for it and even if they did, why can't these socialist countries pay for it themselves?

added: IN 1993 Clinton was behind a defense system he named Ballistic Missile Defense Organization, BMDO. Bush renamed it Missle Defense Agency. Pls look them up .

We have been attempting to place in them in Czech Republic and Poland, this is nice in front of Russia's exterior. And definite, they sense threatened approximately. no longer in uncomplicated terms did they want them there, yet in Georgia too.
