Wow, I was thinking "Don't Sleep in the Subway" before I saw the rest of your question.
I also liked "I Know a Place"

Gracious, where do you get the ideas for all of your great questions?!!!
Well, I haven't thought of Petula Clark in years. My favorite I suppose is Downtown with it's upbeat rhythm and words. I
also liked To Sir with love.
Thanks for the delightful memories you send our way.

I like Down Town. I like Don't Sleep in the Subway, too. I liked her songs, but not many were big hits.

I was going to say "To sir with Love," but that was Lulu.
"The Windmills of Your Mind" is the only one I can add to the above. "Don't Sleep in the Subway" and "Downtown" were certainly favorites.

We must have the same taste in song. That was my favourite as well. I saw her on an Australian talk show some time ago. But don't know if she is still alive now.

Gotta go with "Downtown", I had to go listen to it again just now. I think I like it because I grew up in a little 'ole place and going downtown just seemed so exciting to me.
