Decades of Soviet nuclear testing unleashed a plague of birth defects. When the Soviet Union tested its nuclear devices, it chose eastern Kazakhstan, one of its remotest, most desolate areas. But no one bothered to evacuate the people living there.

This personally reminds me of the Hills have eyes! but it is so sad that these children have to suffer because of a poor government decision.

well, i read the article and watched the video. i really hate to see these types of stories. i mean, the government didn't have any disregard for their people. in the long run, it killed and deformed innocent bystanders. now, i'm sure that our american presidents have taken advantage of their citizens at one point or another. frankly, it would be hard to believe they didn't. i really wish i could give you some type of example but it's been awhile since i've taken US history and my memory is dead. plus, i don't want to talk politics. but, i did take history of california somewhat recently and i was surprised to learn all the extra crap that our government did. paying citizens to kill native american indians and whatnot. not to mention, most history textbooks taught in our schools simply provide the shiny version of our birth. anyhow, that's all i got.

The US government never evacuated Las Vegas, which is about 50 miles from the test sight in Nevada that was used throughout the 1950s.The locals even used to go out to the closest point to get a good view of the explosion.

Yes. That is why the world decided to stop above ground testing. The ill effects were going to affect the elites as well as the masses. That is one reason to suspect global warming is a hoax. The elites are doing nothing to stop it. They must know it is a hoax.

Of course they do.I remember reading about a medical experiment that went badly wrong.Infact it was a joint U.S./Canadian psychiatric experiment and some of the people being experimented on only had very mild post natal depression and were given treatment they had not consented to that wiped out their memories. One woman did not remember her husband and children.Thousands were paid out in compensation to a large number of people. If I can find a link I'll post it.

Tell me you're not that unaware of what goes on in your own back yard... you should really do some research. The stories you show are disturbing, but I find these equally disturbing, and more insidious, as the public have been totally hoodwinked, imho... yet another example of get it cheap now, pay bigtime later...
