There was this old song playing, and it was by a band like the beetles. All I remember was a picture of these guys sitting on top of a huge pile of matches. They had this song which I really liked.... All I remember was the chorus said something about "Match stick man".
Does anyone know? I really want it. :-)

That's "Pictures Of Matchstick Men" by the British group Status Quo. This group was hugely popular in Britain but were truly one-hit wonders in the US. This song was their only hit there.
