Will a 10 inch screw work? I can just stop short if you like and not put it in all the way.

Wow...that's a LOADED question if I've ever seen one but I will resist and say.....
Home Depot or Lowes but, remember, don't ask the fat guy with the plummers crack about the "9 inch screw". You could find yourself in a very awkward position, if you know what I mean! *wink*
