it's a game where everyone playing has to be completely silent and the first person to make a sound gets hit with flying textbooks

I don't think it is the "quiet" that is the game but the assaultive behavior of throwing books at someone. If the person coughs, or sneezes, or makes any noise, they are hit. And recently a child was hurt so serious that he required surgery for a ruptured spleen.
This is NO game. It is physical assault and the parents of the child hit could charge YOU with assault!!!

i used to play this game with my little brother and sister--i'd promise them a dollar if they could stay quiet for long enough, and of course they never won
