I might be one of those people. is that a bad thing? I think everything is funny :D and I'm happy a lot of the time. But when I'm not I look mean, and strangers always pass by and tell me to smile..

I physically hate smirking though. I hate how my lips and cheeks feel and I don't like how smirks look..cmon it's a half a smile..it's weird.

Perhaps they simply find amusement in the many stupid things going on around them. To smirk or not to smirk? That is the question. I say "smirk" and the world will smirk with you.

First, its best not to judge people you do not know. Second, looks are deceiving. Finally, its illogical and wrong to assume something without full completely knowledge of the situation. So, if a man you do not know or ever met smiles, it can be many reasons that you do not know of.

I know it might be projection, but as you are asking, i'll say what I think: Those people are trying to appear as confident . You can notice the smirk on their faces mostly when they are angry, frustrated, or anxious. It gives them the impression that they are in control of themselves.
