Some people say true love is a fight. Others say it should be easy and effortless. What do you think?

Love IS easy. Being in a loving relationship, while not "hard" does require thought and effort. Unless of course, both parties are perfect. The great thing though, is that the thought and effort makes both lives so great.

I think true love is easy. Anything worth having or keeping requires a lot of effort and effort means work. Fight is probably the wrong verb to be used in relation to love. Love is a commitment, a drug, a feeling, So the feeling when it's present is effortless. But the everyday stuff can if you allow it, get in the way. Hope this helps.

I think it's somewhere in-between. Nothing in life that's worth something is effortless. Everything takes SOME work regardless of how in love you are. People who go into marriage thinking everything will always be rosey 100% of the time are fooling themselves. Everyone has bad moods, bad days, and stress. It's how we choose to deal with those things that makes all the difference in the world.

Nothing worth having comes for free.
Having said that, I'd say that NOTHING in this world is easy.
Love is even more hard, because it considers OTHERS before ourselves.
Some say love shouldn't hurt either, but realistically, sometimes it does.
We all want the easy way out. It's what Americans are all about. How FAST can I get it with the LEAST expenditure of time, or energy.
I think on the opposite pole, though, it shouldn't necessarily be a fight. If you have to constantly "fight for love", perhaps you're lovin' the wrong dude. :)

Love is easy. Being able to stand some one for 40 years is the fight.

Love has come easy for my husband and I but in most cases I think you have to work at your relationship. In fact, I only know one other couple that has it as easy as we do so I think it's a rare thing. But... I don't expect it will always be easy. I think the love you have for a person makes you work through the hard times. Love is easy and maybe the relationships are hard. I think it all depends on how well you communicate with each other.

Love is easy. Staying with someone and having a relationship can be a struggle. There will always be disagreements, learning how to get through those times is the part that requires effort.

I think its both. You sometimes have to fight to make it work and when it is working, its effortless and easy and marvellous...and then you have to work at it again....it all goes around.

it'd be a dream for it to be easy and effortless. but when you get down to it, it's a fight. it's work to keep a relationship going.

It should be easy but it's not anything worth having is worth fighting for. But at the same time it shouldn't be a constant fight.
