Has anyone heard/bought the new album?
Its pretty cool stuff, I have a few of her albums and there is something slightly different about this one, its very ethereal, especially 'the devil' and 'dear darkness'.
Anyone else impressed by her latest album?

Bought and listened to White Chalk, still listening to it and digesting it. I'm just so pleased we have a new album to treat our ears with!
White Chalk is different but it's not a million miles away from Is This Desire and it's B-Sides for example. It is ethereal, I love how "The Devil" builds - very apt for the repeating of "the mountain....".
I adored "When Under Ether" from the moment I heard it. It reminded me of being up at a silly time in the early hours of the morning when the rest of the house and street are sleeping and you feel drowsy with tiredness but don't want to go to sleep and just feel content and a little 'otherworldly' (that's lack of sleep for ya!). I love the way she sings on that, almost like she doesn't want to wake anyone.. Beautiful.

Yes, got it when it was released,another great album from
polly,its just accoustic,go see her live,she is awesome!

love pj harvey. i have yet to check out her lastest album though. so i guess i'll go do that.
