A couple of things...
Football isn't his passion. He's learning.
His brand of humor is embraced by a narrow band of the population. He's overwhelmingly negative, because that's what he does -- it's who he is.
He's gruesome in High Definition.
It is time for him to go. I think Dan Fouts does a nice job. Calm, not a lot of fluff.

Some idiotic network focus group decided NFL broadcasts were missing something. They didn't learn from the last mistake....putting Dennis Miller on to crack some political jokes during games. Even Dennis Miller is funny, but I don't watch football to be distracted by political commentary. By the same token, I wouldn't watch Comedy Central if John Madden were on a stand up routine. The root of the problem is our "need" as Americans to combine different genres into a three hour block of time so we feel somehow more fulfilled. Keep the football simple! Get rid of Tony K. and any women who claim to speak intelligently about a sport they have never played. The only thing missing from the NFL are players who play because they love the game.

Anybody is better than Joe Theismann was...but that was Sunday Night Football. I'm just glad I don't have to listen to him anymore.
I like Kornheiser, and I watch PTI, but he does only seem to know East Coast teams, probably because he is a writer in DC...you just have to remember that he is not a broadcaster, he is a sports writer in a huge market on the East Coast. All they do is look at the negatives...
And I don't think that the guys they have him paired up with work well together, it seems that Tony and Jaws are always at odds about something and poor Tirico is left to officiate.

He is awful.
Last year, every other word was about his fantasy football team -- as if viewers cared.
His voice is grating. He offers zero insight. All he does is act like a novice to coax real answers out of his hosts. I can't believe he still has that job. He is so bad I used to feel sorry for him. Now I just want him to go away. Wish he could put on one of those stupid popsicle-stick paper masks of Cossel or Merideth and actual become them. Then MNF would be tolerable again.
They really need to de-emphasize the hosts anyway in general. I really have no desire to watch 45 minutes of 3 guys sitting in a booth, and the guest hosts that plug various things are just pathetic.

I totally have no clue why Tony Kornheiser is allowed the honor of calling the games. He totally knows nothing about sports. It's a joke. They should have replaced him, not the other guy. At least he was a quarterback and actually knew what he was calling. This guy is more worried about American Idol and crap like that. Everytime I point out how dumb this guy is, someone is like, "OMG PTI RULES!!!" Uhh... This isn't PTI my friend.

I cringed during his opening last night, and how he ended it wearing that idiotic Manning-mask and saying Eli "should've been an accountant" (-- just before he throws for 300+ yards on the road?)... This from a 55+ year old man?
He isn't funny, isn't witty or remotely even interesting.. and having that other muttonhead promoting himself to join them (with the ensemble guffaw-ing like they were having a grand time, and saying ANYthing worthwhile)... when THEY lost interest in just calling the game, by HALFTIME.. it made watching it (and I'm a Giants fan, so I had to endure it) nearly excruciating.

Without a doubt, the most annoying, obnoxious person EVER on MNF. No, correct that, not just on MNF, but ever on TV. Listening to him speak is like fingernails being scratched across a chalkboard. I'm from Long Island and don't have nearly the awful accent that he has. It makes it painful to watch MNF. I usually turn the sound off and just watch the plays. He sounds like a whiney accountant.

I like him, that jimmy kimmel is an idiot though and was he high on something? I think tony is a little to negative sometimes about nagging at certain thing but most time he just speaking on what is true and other people may be to sissy to say-This is why he has his own show, cause its what the fans wanna hear.

Cornholer is only part of the problem with that coverage. Its about them, not the game. Have you ever seen a game where they focus so much of the camera time on the damned booth? Its like they are having their talk show and it just happens to be at a game...
