Does anyone know the full plot of the musical Anything Goes? The original version. I know the basic plot from Wikipedia, but I'm interested in knowing more about the happenings on the ship, because nothing goes into detail.
Also, if anyone has more information about the characters, that would be great. It's going to be my school's spring musical, and I want to know more before I audition.
Some good audition songs would be great too. I'm an alto. We have to sing 16 bars. Thanks!

If you're an alto, go for Reno Sweeney though I think she's more of a mezzo. Try her songs on for size and see if you can do it. She's got a lot of pizzazz :-)

Its a musical ,dear, it doesn't go into anything too deeply, it is a showcase for Mr. Porter's music and witty lyrics. When your school or anyone is producing a show you tryout for, tryout for everything and love it even if you get in the chorus or a walk on. The show is important not anyone's ego. Sing the song you sing the best.
