A wrong assumption is made that electromagnetic radiation is magnetic and electric. The word was given for convenience about radiation of radio waves . What is called electromagnetic radiation is neither magnetic or electric.
Magnetic field are not blocked , They can only be contained in magnetic material such as iron. The magnetic field will travel in a circuit just like electrons remain contained in a circuit.
